IIBA Member Local Edition licence terms

Terms version: 2026-08-10-iiba-member-v1

These are the licence terms linked from the IIBA member claim form. They are separate from the final paid Local Edition sale terms.

1. Eligibility and grant

The person claiming this benefit confirms that they are an IIBA member and that the submitted member details are their own. BA Copilot grants that named person a no-cost, non-exclusive, non-transferable, Practitioner-equivalent licence to use BA Copilot Local Edition version 1 perpetually.

2. Permitted use

The licence permits use in your own business or organisation, in day-to-day professional work, and for work performed for clients. It covers one named person using the licence on one active device at a time. You must not share, sell, transfer or reassign the licence, redistribute BA Copilot Local, or offer it as a hosted product or service.

3. Included updates and support

You may install any BA Copilot Local Edition version 1 update that BA Copilot makes generally available during the 12 months after your original claim. The licence does not include technical support, an SLA, guaranteed updates, compatibility updates, or a commitment to future development.

4. Models, providers and your data

BA Copilot Local can use an on-device model or an AI endpoint that you configure. On-device processing keeps prompts and process content on your computer. If you choose a network or cloud endpoint, relevant content is sent to that provider under its terms. You remain responsible for the endpoint you select and for retaining your own data and backups.

5. Intellectual property and restrictions

BA Copilot and its software remain owned by or licensed to BA Copilot Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the use expressly permitted above, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sublicense or create a competing product from BA Copilot Local except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

6. Liability and statutory rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BA Copilot Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from the benefit. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
